This is the most insane project I've ever had the pleasure of torturing myself to work on.
Two and a half years in the making, Claye is my third 'studio' album, and technically my fifth release.
Claye was made completely independently—just me alone in my apartment—with some computers and instruments that I could barely afford to have. It started out as a minimalist ambient/electronic project, and ultimately turned into a massively layered experimental pop album, with each song containing 60-100 tracks.
I poured nearly three years of my life into the writing, recording, production, art, and everything else that had to do with this album.
If you like what you hear and want to support my future projects, please consider buying Claye. I've made it available to stream on all of the popular services, but it's only fair I point out that I make basically nothing from those listens.
Above and beyond anything money-related, please tell your friends about Claye. Meeting new people who have listened is far more gratifying than knowing I have an extra $8 in my bank account.
Claye was released quietly to a loud world on September 1, 2014 at 12pm EDT.
